Hi everyone! Time for an update.

All socks delivered

We've now delivered all socks to both you (our lovely backers) and the homeless organizations! We shipped them to various organizations around the world, and they are really happy! We told them that it was in part thanks to our amazing backers. THANK YOU!

The socks to Hus Forbi (the Danish organization for the homeless) were delivered personally by Alex this week. To see the appreciation was worth it all, in itself. So once again, THANK YOU!

Dear Backer,

Thank you for supporting our last Kickstarter campaign for the SOLOSOCKS No-Shows. Thanks to you, we've grown our little startup and embarked upon a great journey to make the world's most awesome socks. This year we realized that we wanted to make a campaign that helped people in need. We've created a new campaign with exactly that in mind. 

The SOLOSOCKS concept has always included 7x1 single socks. This is about to change. The Kickstarter campaign is for our new line of socks: SOLOSOCKS Share. The concept is simple. The socks will come in normal pairs, and every time you buy a pair, we donate a pair to the homeless in your country. We're working on establishing partnerships with homeless organisations in 10 different countries. There are 100.000.000 homeless in the world, and we want to help them.

The big change, is that we will start making pairs. This is due to this reason: A lot of people love the organic SOLOSOCKS quality, but don't like the concept. They want pairs instead. So we need to give people what they want. We would like to know what you think about this.

The new Kickstarter has 20 new styles, all in pairs. FEAR NOT! This does not mean that we will stop the SOLOSOCKS concept. We’ve planned to create many new collections of SOLOSOCKS 7x1 concept, and SOLOSOCKS Duos. Our next collection will be a SOLOSOCKS collection with 7 single socks.

The last remaining orders have been shipped!

Woohoo! Yay! Finally, we can say that we shipped the final batch of SOLOSOCKS. Now all Kickstarter orders have been shipped. This marks the end of this crowdfunding journey. We're absolutely flabbergasted as to what we have achieved the last couple of months. Thank YOU for making it all possible

In the last months, so many things have happened, so we thought we would give you an update on the 5 latest and greatest achievements.

1. We continued the campaign on Indiegogo

After the Kickstarter campaign, we moved the campaign to Indiegogo In-Demand. There, we raised an additional $15.000 from 300 backers! Wow! We're ending the campaign and shipping in a couple of days. Today is your last chance to buy No-Shows for $28 on Indiegogo if you want to make the next shipping round.

2. We made a new webshop

After the Kickstarter we created a new webshop where our No-Shows are currently available. We've received so much amazing feedback on it, and people have already started ordering SOLOSOCKS from all around the world.

3. We are designing a new collection

We're designing a new collection that we're hoping will be ready for Christmas! The collection will be in regular socks, and not No-Shows. We're hoping to design more No-Shows in awesome designs for the spring. Stay updated via our newsletter or Instagram where we'll post regularly!

4. We started doing 3 giveaways a week

After our campaign, where we gave away more than 50 free packs of SOLOSOCKS, we decided that we want to do more giveaways. People just get so happy! So now, our Instagram has 3 giveaways a week, and if you stay signed up to our newsletter, you'll see even more giveaways. All you have to do is follow our Instagram (which, by the way, has 14.000 followers now. Yay!).

5. We got out into 50 different shops

After our campaign we've received a lot of interest from retailers all around the world. People have contacted us and want to retail our products anywhere from Japan to Dubai. We're so excited that this campaign has enabled us to move into retailers around the world as well. Wow.

Shipping update on SOLOSOCKS No-Shows

Dear backers,

It seems the majority of all backers have received their SOLOSOCKS, and the feedback we have received has been amazing. A lot of you have already ordered more No-Shows on preorder from our webshop with your coupon ' kickstarter18 '. Thank you!

Now here's a lot of practical information, please read all of it!

Set-backs with Van Dyke and Blackies (large).

We have checked everything, and shipped out exactly 89% of the SOLOSOCKS ordered on the campaign. There are 421 backers that have not yet received their order, and there is a reason for this. The last 11% missing are some Van Dyke and Blackies. We found out that a lot of the Van Dyke and Blackies in the large size had a production issue. Luckily, this was realized before we started shipping. Sadly, it meant we had to wait for a new batch, to have enough in stock for everyone. 

But dont worry! We decided to ship everything else, at our expense. This means, that if you ordered 1 Wegner (large) and 1 Van Dyke (large), we decided to send you the Wegner first, and then the Van Dyke (large) once they are back in stock. That means we'll ship twice, so you don't have to wait. If you are one of those 421 backers we have contacted you with an email, we have shipped your socks. So don't worry. If you have not received an email informing you about the delay, you are not affected.

We talked to our producer today, and he said they will send them from the factory on the 20th of July (in 8 days), and we expect to have them in stock before the end of the month. As soon as they are back in stock we will ship them to you, our Kickstarter backers first. After the campaign, we already received more than 1000 pre-orders of our No-Shows. You will be prioritized before them.

Issues regarding the fit

Before we launched the campaign, we looked at some of the other no-show campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, where we checked out the comments and some online reviews by backers. It seemed the number one complaint issue was regarding the fit of the no-show socks. The typical problem with no-show socks is that they fall down, and this was actually the reason we came up with our no-shows. We flew to several factories around Europe and tested more than +100 different fits from more than 5 different producers.  The socks we found, and designed to improve, are by far the best fitting socks we've ever encountered. 

Out of the almost 4000 backers, we have received a total of 32 complaints regarding the fit, which is very low. We encourage everyone to give us 100% honest feedback so we can improve. We believe that the main reason for the fit not always being perfect is because people have very different feet sizes and shapes. Therefore, it's impossible to make a sock that fits all! 

Communication with SOLOSOCKS

Adam and Alex, our two founders, personally read all your messages to [email protected] and we answer most of them personally as well. We take great pride in our customer service and always try to answer within 24 hours during the week. As entrepreneurs, starting a new company, your happiness is extremely important.
